Here’s a question for you, pals: Do you ever find yourself with a sudden peanut butter craving, wanting to eat it out of the jar with a spoon, but not wanting to wash up the spoon afterwards?
Stupid question, of course you have. We’ve all been there! I have a solution for us all: blend a whole lot of peanut butter in a food processor with some dates and granola and all your prayers will be answered!
I know there’s technically more washing up because of the whole food processor thing… But it’s a one-off load of washing up and at the end of it you’ll have a whole lot of delicious, peanut butter-y bliss balls to snack on whenever you please! Without having to wash up a spoon!
It totally balances out, you guys. You’re welcome.
The granola in these bliss balls is just the cherry on top. Usually, my go-to recipe for any kind of bliss balls will involve dates, nuts and some sort of flavour (cacao, coconut, peanut butter)… But I didn’t have any nuts left in the pantry and I don’t get paid until Friday so I had to improvise…
And boy, am I glad I did!
You could just use oats in the place of granola in this recipe, but I promise you the depth of flavour you’ll get with the granola is so worth it. You can totally taste the mixture of oats and nuts toasted in in olive oil and maple syrup and it’s almost like they’re kissing the peanut butter on the lips. The flavours are just made for eachother! Granola and PB, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G…
If you don’t have time/the ingredients to make this granola, you could use a store-bought kind instead.
Full disclosure before I start the recipe: nothing will ever stop me from eating peanut butter out of the jar. I just needed to let you all know that. But I say we can do both! Peanut butter in our bliss balls, on our spoons… Everywhere! As long as it ends up in my mouth, I’m happy as Larry!
Peanut Butter & Granola Bliss Balls
Makes 10 balls
Ingredients

– 1 cup granola
– 2 heaped tablespoons natural peanut butter (I use Mayver’s Dark Roasted Peanut Butter… It’s like silk!)
Method
Simply place all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend until the mixture forms into a dough-like consistency. Roll into balls and store in the fridge for up to one week, or in the freezer for up to three months.
